Looks like a rust monster took a bite out of it, doesn't it? The last time I was in Paris was about ten years ago, according to the dates I've been seeing, so I can't say what happened. It's a shame, though.

Paris is the best city in the world.

Snails are far from the weirdest thing I've ever been expected to eat. Foreign dignitaries tend to get upset when you turn down whatever they're "honoring" you with at dinner.

The way they're cooked is usually pretty nice. I mean, as long as you can deal with the texture, they're usually cooked in butter and garlic and you just kind of... slurp them down.
