[McCoy had promised Arya that he'd show her what a phaser was back when Shendu had decided to get all pissy and take over the Barge, but hadn't gotten around with it until today. So, they'd headed into the CES - the doctor armed not only with a phaser, but a decent winter jacket this time because he'd let her open the door and they were back in the land of way too much snow to ever be normal - and walked around a bit before McCoy realized something seemed a little off.

Well. Two things, in that he kept kind of wondering what Sarah was up to and if he should have invited her with them but what if she said no and - yeah, focusing on Cat now.]

[Arya kicked at the snow as she walked, keeping her head down. McCoy had promised he'd ask about Nymeria, and that was exciting, that was AMAZING - but there were Castiel and Dean to think about, too. So she dragged her feet, and barely glanced up at Leonard when he asked his questioning, clicking at what looked like a snow clump. It was not a snow clump. It was a rock. She hissed and bounced on one leg for a few long moments, chewing her lip.]

Am not, [she mumbled. Mopeily she is so mopey, Bones. :c]

[Honestly it hadn't occurred to McCoy that she'd have been affected by the flood, because she just didn't seem like a likely candidate for it at all, ever, and so he just went about his business being a pain in the ass as usual, wondering what had gotten her down.]

I don't know. [She worried at her lip until she tasted blood, and picked up a handful of snow to shove against her mouth. NBD. It made talking about this easier, though.]

Have you ever been in love?

[That was an easy enough question to answer, and it distracted him from scolding her for hurting her lip for the time being.]

What's it like?

It's... confusing, I guess. Definitely nice while it's working out for you, but it's never something that isn't complicated, and it can get pretty ugly when it goes wrong. [Namely in his case because things had ended so fucking badly, but no use getting into the details now. So even if he did like Sarah, he wasn't sure if anything would ever actually come of it. Was he willing to put himself out there again? Risk another Jocelyn happening?

Also this stuff really isn't his strong suit explaining, so. :v]

But it's nice.

[She kicks snow at him.] He was waiting for some other girl, and there was Castiel, and I don't know how to sing like Sansa! I can't sing! [She's scooping up a handful of snow and lobbing it at the nearest tree. Stupid Sansa was the one who knew the songs and the courtesies.]

Cat, calm down, you don't have to know how to sing! Hell, I can't sing, but I still got married.

[And seriously, who would have thought we'd ever hear you saying you wished you were more like Sansa. :|]

... And no offense, but I think you're a little young to be chasing after boys like Dean.

Arya wants Nymeria back. I'd be alright with it, and she says she can keep her under control, but I don't want a pony sized wolf running around mauling people.

Ghost could keep her in check if that ever arises.

I would bring her aboard as a pup if you are able. Then Arya could raise and train her right.
